I'm half past dead, literally! Still, I had to wake up at 8 something tomorrow, so you do the maths.
My supervisor said that production life is fast, real fast, and you don't even know what hit you. Well, I can hardly disagree, for its been one week since my day one, and it didn't felt even close to an hour. You do the maths again.
Like what Chin Li said, I'm tired: super-whopper tired. But as I stopped to ponder, I understand why my supervisor is close to being a superman. Finishing the job means a good night's sleep, at least until the next job comes. So, its worth his every second even if it means spending the night over the set. I wished I could have that enthusiasm too. That's extreme level of dedication. How extreme? 24/7 of nonstop productivity. Do the maths.
At the end of the day, its not TV ratings, its not cinema attendance, its not how much money you get, its not how many Oscars you win. Its everything for a good night's sleep. Production life is not for the faint hearted. We are an industry that never sleeps, and ironically, we don't sleep because we want that hard earned sleep. Thats production life. So any of you out there still reading this, i leave the following question for you to ponder as I enjoy my not-so-quite-earned nap (my supervisor is still on set and working):
Do you know what this profession means and, do you still want this job?
Nitey, and enjoy some of my pics from last week. This is the 40 episode huge drama that the Chinese Productions are currently working on.
Its basically a 60s romance story based on intertwining fictional characters of BB Park, a cabaret/dance hall.
More pics on the way soon. Farking steamyx slowdown and I'm not waiting.
no-fark!
